About Mahek

Mahek Gupta is a neuropsychology researcher and children's author.

She studied at the University of Bristol from 2021 to 2023. Her professional work is connected with NIMHANS in Bengaluru, where her interests sit at the meeting point of neuroscience, mental health, and how we understand and measure them.

Mahek draws on emotional regulation, neuroscience, and mindfulness to make feelings easier for children to notice and name. Her books are also for parents, educators, and therapists who want to stay close while those feelings move through.

A note from Mahek. You do not need to stop feeling. You can learn what your feelings need.
